Protection without the hype

Ceramic coating enhances and protects paint. It does not make it invincible.

A professionally applied ceramic coating creates a durable sacrificial layer over a properly prepared surface. It can increase gloss, improve water behavior and make normal contamination easier to remove.

The appearance and performance of the finished coating still depend on the surface underneath, the preparation completed before application and the way the vehicle is maintained afterward.

Coating is the final step, not the correction step.
Applying ceramic protection over dull, contaminated or swirled paint does not remove those defects.

Realistic benefits

What a ceramic coating can improve.

The exact performance depends on the product and surface, but properly installed protection commonly provides these advantages.

01

Gloss and slickness

A prepared finish can appear deeper, richer and more reflective after coating.

02

Water behavior

Hydrophobic properties help water bead and move from the protected surface more readily.

03

Easier maintenance

Normal road film and environmental contamination are often easier to remove during proper washing.

04

Added resistance

The coating adds a sacrificial barrier against UV exposure and common chemical contamination.

Know the limitations

What ceramic coating does not do.

01

It is not scratch proof

Improper washing, dirty towels and abrasive contact can still create swirls and scratches in coated paint.

02

It does not prevent rock chips

A ceramic coating is not impact protection. Paint protection film is designed for a different type of defense.

03

It is not water spot proof

Mineral rich water can still leave deposits when droplets dry on the surface, especially in Utah’s heat.

04

It is not maintenance free

The vehicle still needs safe washing, careful drying and periodic inspection to keep the coating performing properly.

Before application

Surface preparation controls the finished appearance.

Step 01

Safe wash

Loose grime and road film are removed with a paint safe process before closer inspection.

Step 02

Decontamination

Iron deposits, bonded contamination and embedded material are addressed as the paint condition requires.

Step 03

Paint inspection

Gloss, swirls, oxidation, scratches and clear coat health are evaluated before correction decisions are made.

Step 04

Paint enhancement

When appropriate, machine polishing reduces light haze and swirls before the improved finish is protected.

Vanta Refine pairs a single stage paint enhancement with ceramic protection. Deeper defects may remain, and preserving healthy clear coat takes priority over chasing perfection.

After installation

How to maintain the coated finish.

01

Follow the initial cure instructions

Avoid washing or exposing the coating to unnecessary moisture during the cure period explained after installation.

02

Use a paint safe wash method

Clean wash media, suitable soap and controlled contact reduce the chance of adding swirls.

03

Dry the vehicle carefully

Use clean, soft drying towels or safe air drying instead of allowing mineral rich water to dry on the paint.

04

Remove contamination promptly

Bird droppings, insects, sap and mineral deposits should not be left to bake onto the surface.

05

Avoid harsh automatic washes

Dirty brushes and aggressive chemicals can damage the finish and reduce coating performance.

06

Schedule periodic inspection

Professional maintenance can identify bonded contamination that is blocking water behavior before it is mistaken for coating failure.

When performance changes

Weak beading does not automatically mean the coating failed.

Contamination can mask the coating.

Road film, mineral deposits and bonded contamination can sit on top of the protected surface and reduce visible water behavior. A proper decontamination service may restore performance.

Do not attack the surface with aggressive chemicals or polishing compounds without first identifying the cause. Polishing can remove the coating along with the contamination.
