Vanta Odor Reset

The treatment begins with the reason the odor is there.

Odor improvement depends on identifying the likely source, cleaning accessible contamination and selecting only the treatment steps the vehicle actually needs. Bio-Bomb and ozone are available options, not automatic substitutes for cleaning.

Treatment options

Different odors require different steps.

Vanta selects the process after reviewing the vehicle. One odor may need cleaning and extraction, while another may support Bio-Bomb or ozone treatment after cleaning.

01

Source cleaning

Accessible residue, spills, debris and odor holding surfaces are cleaned first. No supplemental treatment can replace removal of the actual source.

02

Steam and extraction

Fabric, carpet and selected surfaces may receive steam or controlled extraction when the material, contamination and drying conditions support it.

03

Bio-Bomb treatment

A chlorine dioxide treatment may be selected for an eligible odor condition after cleaning. The vehicle remains unoccupied and is ventilated according to product directions.

04

Ozone treatment

Controlled ozone may be used for an appropriate persistent odor after source cleaning. The vehicle remains unoccupied during treatment and is ventilated before normal use.

A responsible process

Clean. Treat. Ventilate. Review.

Each step is chosen around the odor source and the vehicle’s materials, not a single treatment applied to every condition.

01

Assess the source

Vanta reviews the odor, exposure history, affected areas and any previous treatment attempts.

02

Clean accessible contamination

Residue, debris and affected surfaces are addressed before any supplemental odor treatment is considered.

03

Control moisture

Cleaned carpet and upholstery are given the drying time needed to avoid trapping moisture or creating a musty condition.

04

Select the right treatment

Steam, extraction, Bio-Bomb, ozone or a combination is chosen only when it fits the material and odor source.

05

Ventilate the vehicle

Treatment specific ventilation and return to use instructions are followed before the vehicle is occupied again.

06

Review the result

Vanta explains the completed work, realistic limitations and whether another cleaning stage or separate repair may be needed.

Common odor conditions

Tell Vanta what happened and how long it has been present.

Clear history helps determine whether the vehicle needs routine interior cleaning, Vanta Odor Reset, severe interior cleanup or a separate repair.

Smoke and tobacco

Residue can settle across glass, hard surfaces, fabric, headliners, foam and ventilation pathways.

Pets, food and spills

Organic residue may remain in seams, carpet, padding, seat tracks and other areas that require physical cleaning.

Musty or moisture odors

Wet materials or ongoing water intrusion must be identified. Detailing cannot repair a leak or mechanical problem.

Unknown persistent odor

An assessment helps narrow the source and decide whether the condition belongs with detailing or a specialist.

Realistic expectations

Treatment supports source cleaning. It does not replace it.

Bio-Bomb and ozone are supplemental tools for eligible conditions. Odor absorbed into foam, headliners, ducting or inaccessible materials may remain, and severe contamination can require more than one service stage.

No odor treatment can repair a water leak, failed cabin component, damaged material or other mechanical source.

Safety matters: people, pets and plants cannot remain inside the vehicle during Bio-Bomb or ozone treatment. Vanta follows the applicable ventilation process and provides instructions before normal use resumes.

Before requesting service

Give Vanta the history, not just the smell.

These details make the first recommendation more accurate and help reserve the right amount of time.

01

Likely source

Describe smoke, pets, food, spills, moisture, mold concerns or anything else connected to the odor.

02

Time present

Explain when you first noticed it and whether heat, rain, the air system or closed windows make it stronger.

03

Previous attempts

List cleaners, foggers, fragrances, Bio-Bomb, ozone or prior details already used on the vehicle.

04

Visible condition

Send clear photos of affected areas, stains, spills, debris, moisture or damage when possible.

Odor treatment FAQs

Understand the process before service.

Clear answers about Bio-Bomb, ozone, safety, results and service limitations.

What is a Bio-Bomb treatment?

A Bio-Bomb is a chlorine dioxide odor treatment used inside an unoccupied vehicle. Vanta may select it after accessible odor sources and residue have been cleaned. It is not included automatically and it does not replace physical cleaning.

Is a Bio-Bomb the same as ozone?

No. Bio-Bomb and ozone are different treatment methods. Vanta evaluates the odor, materials, source and previous treatment history before choosing one, combining appropriate steps or recommending neither.

Is Bio-Bomb or ozone included with every odor service?

No. Many odors improve through source removal, surface cleaning, steam, extraction and drying. A supplemental treatment is used only when the condition supports it.

Can people or pets remain in the vehicle during treatment?

No. The vehicle must remain unoccupied during Bio-Bomb or ozone treatment. Vanta follows the treatment specific ventilation process and provides return to use instructions.

Can smoke or pet odor be completely removed?

Many odor conditions can be improved substantially, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Exposure time, residue, moisture and contamination inside foam, headliners, ventilation systems or other hidden materials can limit the result.

Why might an odor return?

Odor can return when the source remains, moisture intrusion continues, contamination has penetrated material that cannot be fully reached or a separate mechanical repair is needed.
